Blankie Toy
One year olds and planes??? HELP!?

Well the trip will only be a couple hours, we are flying from CO to NV. My son just turned one and he(how can I put this) Won’t sit still to save his life! He won’t sit on my lap or daddy’s lap for longer then 10 minutes without screaming to get down and run around. Don’t get me wrong he is a great kid, just likes his space and likes to run around since he can walk now. I heard about giving him baby/kids benadryl or something to induce sleepiness but not sure if it’s a good idea or not. I have planned to bring his blankie and a couple toys and bottles of coarse, I will try to save nap time for the plane so he is already tired but, please any advise will help us get through this, oh and he doesn’t have his own seat only daddy and I to sit on. Any advise from any of you parents who have been through this is appreciated! Thanks!♥

If its an early flight, wake him up extra extra early, try to keep him super active for a lil while before you takeoff, and he should get pretty tired by the time you board the plane and the flight takes off.

Good Luck.. :o )

How do you slowly get rid of the blankie for a 5 year old boy?

I baby sit a sweet five year old boy and he has a blankie that is slobber covered and smelly!! His parents want him to stop bringing it to school but how would you do that? If you take it away he crys and screams and he never parts with it! I feel weird for asking but haven’t you had that favorite toy or item? I am 13 and I still have my teddy bear that was my dads!!! I feel really bad about taking it away from him he is so sweet and very smart but he can’t bring it to kindergarten. Please help!!

I am 22 years old and still sleep with my blanket that I have had since I was 2 ( the other one was replaced with this one because it was ratty). I don’t see the big deal.

you can suggest to them to cut a piece off of it so it fits in his pocket and he can have a small piece of blankie in his pocket wherever he goes. my friend’s mother makes blankets for kids but she also makes a “pocket blankie” to go with it.

he’s not going to go to high school with it. you shouldn’t take a child’s scare fighter, comfort item, sleepy item or anything like that away with force. it’s not harming him or effecting him in any other way
